I first viewed her in her dilapidated state at the end of last year - she is now beautiful having been brought back to her original condition. Hi Janet Thanks very much for pointing me in the right direction to buy the large 54 inch high x 85 inch long bow Lines from the States. The US seller was wonderful and couldn`t be of more help. It is 3 months since I first contacted you and he, `Pennsylvania`, has finally arrived after all the negiating, packing, crating, trucking, shipping, customs and quarantine, but it was worth it. He is certainly quite grand and as big as a 10.5 hands high pony. I can`t believe how well balanced he is - you just give him one rock and he goes on and on. Thanks again and all the best. I am so glad that we came to you to bring Casper back to his best. He is now a loving remembrance for myself and Barbara of a close friend taken from us far too soon. His restoration was one of the projects which she was unable to fulfil. He has pride of place standing in the bay window of our house and has already attracted many admiring looks from friends and relatives. Even our two house rabbits have taken a liking to him, although their appreciation, seeing him as a gnawing challenge, is not appreciated! (We have taken preventative measures!) Although his restoration was my daughter`s 21st birthday present, I just hope she never works out how to get him up into her bedroom! If you are game have a look under the saddle leather on the Reobuck rocking horse you have and you will find a newspaper from the day he was made. It washow they dated the manufacture. Obviously if the horse has been restored at any time the paper will be missing. A very nice find though if its there. Cheers Julian

We bought Parsley, an Ayres horse restored by Janet, for our children for Christmas 2007. Parsley is simply beautiful and we are thrilled with her. She looked great in photos, but is even more graceful in real life. Needless to say, she has been a big hit with the children as well, even our boisterous boys. We chose Parsley from a selection of unrestored horses back in August, and (with numerous helpful suggestions and guidance) Janet restored her to our specifications. We were involved in every stage of the process, and Janet sent us lots of updates and pictures - it was exciting to see progress as it was made. Parsley was finished and delivered promptly in time for Christmas too, as promised! Thank you Janet! My Grandpa gave me Dobbin as WW2 ended,I was two.My Father gave him a lick of paint and new saddle,tack etc when my Daughter was two. I now have a Granddaughter who will be two soon. Dobbin was brought out of his dusty old stable in Spring and looked a sorry sight. I went to my PC and searched for someone to restore him to his former lovable state. Luckily I stumbled across Janet. What a delightful person to be in touchwith re Rocking Horses. We emailed re Dobbin,his history etc etc. The result was Dobbin leaving his home in the Midlands for the North East. Janet worked on him during the summer and e mailed me at each stage of her restorative procedures and sent pictures.Last Thursday Dobbin came home and he looks absolutely stunning! I can`t wait to see my Granddaughter`s face when he goes to live with her in the South.If you have a Rocking Horse in need of some TLC then Janet is the talented lady you need to contact.

I initially contacted Janet for impartial advice, which I received. Our emails continued in good faith and we were offered a wonderful Lines sportiboy 2, which Janet was in the process of restoring. We had the exciting task of choosing colours - mane/tail, saddlecloth etc. At no time were we asked for deposit monies or any sort of financial contribution until we had inspected her ourselves on completion. Janet is very straighforward and honest. There was never any `hard sell` to purchase. Our purchase was for a very special birthday present for our 4 year old daughter. Colin was bought for our daughter Katie 25 years ago and has now been passed down to our Grandson Callum.We thought he needed a facelift so he has had his cracks repaired on his body, teeth and eyes repainted and a lovely mane and forelock fitted.
